Jose's birthday show is designed to delight kids ages 3 to 12, with material carefully tuned so the youngest still follow along and the older ones stay genuinely amazed.
The show is fully clean comedy — so siblings, cousins, and parents of every age laugh together. If your guest list has a wide age range, just let us know in advance and Jose will pace the show accordingly.

The show works beautifully for groups of 5 to about 40 children. The magic stays close-up and personal, so everyone gets a great view and a chance to participate.

Absolutely — the birthday star is the star. Jose builds a special moment around them: helping with a key trick, holding the magic wand, or being the one who makes the impossible happen in front of all their friends.
In the Deluxe and Premium packages, the cake-cutting magic moment is built entirely around the birthday child for a memory (and photos) that last forever.
Yes — interaction is the heart of the show. Kids are invited up to help, make magic happen with their own hands, and react out loud. Nobody is forced to participate, and shy kids are never put on the spot.
By the end, almost every child has had at least one moment where they were part of the magic.
The show is performed primarily in English, with key moments and audience cues that work for kids whose first language is Cantonese, Mandarin, or Spanish — Jose's visual storytelling carries the magic across any language.
If your guests speak mainly Cantonese or Mandarin, just let us know in advance and Jose will adapt the patter and rhythm of the show accordingly.
Yes! In the Deluxe package, every child receives a balloon sword as the show wraps up. In the Premium package, Jose stays longer to do extended balloon twisting — animals, hats, flowers, custom requests — so every guest leaves with something hand-made.
The Essential package focuses on the magic show itself and does not include balloon twisting.
It's one of the most-loved moments in the Deluxe and Premium packages. Right before the cake is cut, Jose builds a short magical routine around the birthday child and the cake — a perfect photo and video moment that the family remembers for years.
It takes about 3–5 minutes and slots in naturally between the show and the singing of "Happy Birthday".
Yes. Shy children love watching from a safe spot next to a parent — the magic still works for them, and they often light up by the end of the show even without going on stage.
For very young children (under 4), it's perfectly fine for them to sit on a parent's lap. Jose adapts his pacing so the little ones can follow the bigger, more visual tricks without feeling overwhelmed.
Yes — the Deluxe and Premium packages include a real, live bunny that appears during the show. It's almost always the favorite moment for the kids — and a great photo opportunity.
If you have pets at home (especially dogs), please keep them out of the performance area so the bunny can shine as the star of the moment.
Jose travels across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories — including clubhouses, restaurants, function rooms, hotels, schools, and private homes.
He only needs about a 5-foot-wide space, a wall behind him (no mirrors), and kids seated on the floor in a semi-circle. Most venues already work perfectly. For remote locations or outlying islands, just check with us when booking.
Jose arrives about 35 minutes before the show to set up his props quietly — ideally in a room away from the kids, so the surprises stay hidden until the big reveal.
The best time to start the show is after the food and games, but before the cake and presents. That way guests who arrive late or leave early still get to enjoy the magic, and the show flows naturally into the cake-cutting moment.
Once you've booked a time and date, you've entered into a verbal agreement. If you need to cancel, the following terms apply:

Yes — a deposit is required to secure your date:
Deposits are refundable if you cancel at least 15 days before your event date. However, for shows booked during the busy holiday season (Nov. 15 – Jan. 5), deposits are non-refundable.

Tipping is completely optional — there's absolutely no obligation. That said, if you feel the performance was exceptional and would like to show your appreciation with a tip, it's always gratefully received and very much appreciated!
